Cette série met en scène deux pilotes de chasse, les lieutenants Tanguy et Laverdure. Tanguy est une tête brûlée, séducteur naturel, consciencieux et courageux, alors que Laverdure est un dragueur éhonté, excentrique et gaffeur, mais tout de même un bon pilote.
